The main botanical garden has the most extensive collections of woody plants in the temperate climate inRussia. The composition of collection was forming until the 1990s on the basis of the draft introduction list of 1950. Withthe revival of the introduction in 2016, an attempt to introduce 81 new genus of woody plants was made.
